Society has often forced us to think and feel that there are but only way a few ways to live comfortably, have success and or find happiness. However, under the surface, some people want to splinter off and carve out their own lane through life, to happiness or success. Fortunately, there isn’t a one size fits all path to success or even happiness. There are different strokes for different folks. Often times, people are made to believe as though they have to fit into a certain mold, follow a traditional path, or take a typical track. It’s like a person’s eye color, for there are no two sets of irises that are exactly alike. If you’re trying to follow a certain mold, path or framework, we sometimes have to ask ourselves does this work or is this working out for you? If not, then you may want to think about what works for you, and how you can have, achieve or do that. If you have a knack for something, give it whirl. Invest in yourself, and see where it leads. Or if you feel as though you have a certain purpose or destiny for you, perhaps you should put some thought into it, at the very least. Sometimes in life, on the rare occasions, you can do what you love for a living. Simultaneously, sometimes you are the only one that knows what you can do. However, the important thing to remember is you that you will have to plug away at it. Nevertheless, if you are able to do what you love for a living, got everything you ever wanted, and even got a certain someone you really wanted, you may already won at life. In the same vein, if you have not landed one of these things out of life, it is never too late go after it. If you try, and you start to see your stars align, then you can take it from there one more time.
If every now and then you take score with where you are at in your life as a person, what you possess or own, and what you’ve accomplished at a certain point in you life, then that is fine. As long as you just do it every now and then, you can remain sane. If you perform this exercise everyday, that may drive you up a wall. However, if possible, live your life the want you want to. Everybody’s journey or timing in life, with life’s major moments is different. The extensive material things that you desire may come later in life, rather than sooner. Nonetheless, if you’ve always wanted to finish your high school education and pass the GED test, then go for it. If you’ve always wanted to obtain your Bachelors degree, but somehow life got in the way, it is never too late to get started, and you’re never too old to return to school, and finish whatever you’ve started. Similarly, if you’ve dreamed of starting and owning you own business, then take the jump. There will be some sleepless nights, and a lot of sacrifices you will have to make, but if having it will make you happy, and you have the opportunity and resources to do so, then make that move.
When it comes to our relationships, the people we may have a connection with, the people we have some commonalities with, or significant others, it can be complicated. You try to put your best foot forward as you’re getting to know someone, and letting them get to know you. You be for real and give an honest effort. In your effort to do so, be sincere in your intentions, and if you’re genuinely interested, you extend yourself and put yourself out there, the best you can. Tell that someone how you really feel about them. However, be sure to do this when they’re giving you a window and letting you have their time and attention, before it’s too late. At the end of the day, at least you’ll know that you tried, and took the initiative to pursue what you wanted. Moreover, while you’re pursuing whomever has your interest, or the someone you really want, remember this one thing, to the best of your ability, gentleman, do not mess it up. And if you are lucky enough to get whomever you’re pursuing or the someone you really want and to keep, allow me to repeat a previous point for the road, gentleman, do not mess it up.
As it relates to our livelihoods, professions, or careers, we may go on to higher education for one major or to trade school for one trade, and you may wind up doing something completely different than what you planned. In the same vein, your job, career, or livelihood does not define you. Conversely, if you have a hobby or special skill, and you’re a master or a superstar at it, go for it. In life, if something is in you strong, then you can not break the mold. In life, you have to be what you are. On the opposite, when you hate what you do for a living, it can be one of the hardest things in life to face. It can sometimes make your mere insides upset, or stress you out to the point where it really starts to take a toll on your body. However, if you truly feel as though you have a different destiny other than where you’ve started, have a higher calling or purpose, then take whatever steps necessary, to be what or where you want to be.
We all may have at some point contemplated what we hope the homestretch or swan song of our lives will look like – our grand finale. If you’ve ever envisioned or conceptualized this, lock that image into your memory bank, and in the best way you can, back into that end. If you have the dream home where you want to retire away to already thought of, then start saving for it when you can. Into most of our lives, there’ll be a period of time when you do what you have to do then, so you can do what you want to do later. Surely, there are some things in our lives that by no means do we have any control of. We do not have any control over our health, others, or how and when we will depart from this place. Conversely, if you do know everything you want in the end, try to control what you can now and begin playing the long game earlier on, and maybe you will have everything you wanted in the end. You may not be able to claim everything you want right now, but if you know what it is, who it is or where you want to be, you can put it on your radar now, chart your course, and slowly or swiftly get on your way there, to them or to it.
